Alcohol use is the third leading cause of lifestyle-related death in the United States (CDC reports). Death from alcohol abuse can result from short-term and long-term causes. Violence, traffic injuries, and alcohol poisoning are just a few of the short-term ways people can die in relation to alcohol use.
