Because alcohol has a sedative effect on the brain, many people feel inclined to use it when they’re feeling down. NOT a good idea. Masking your anxiety, depression, or sadness with alcohol will only exacerbate the problem of dealing with your emotions and it could also lead to a very destructive addiction. Alcohol is not a solution to ANY problem, especially an emotional one.
