It’s that time of year. The first projects are bogging your teens down with school stress. Mid-terms may seem far off now, but they’ll be here before you know it. Help your teen adjust to the stresses of educational life in healthy ways. If you notice your teen is spending inordinate amounts of time partying or isolated and alone (i.e., the extremes), make sure you know about your teen’s views on drinking to relieve stress.
It is common knowledge that alcohol is a dangerous drug and though teens often realize this, the peer pressure of friends, or the desire to have fun and forget about life’s stressors can lead them to abuse this seemingly innocuous drug.
