When you’re trying to avoid misusing alcohol and other drugs, getting outside and being active is a great first step. When we’re trying to create healthier habits, rather than strictly trying to expunge bad habits, it’s often a better tactic to add rather than subtract in the beginning. So ADD healthy behaviors like playing outside with your pet or parents. Go toss around a football with friends, or kick a soccer ball. Slowly, subtract bad behaviors around alcohol and other drugs as you’re building up your healthy activities. Choose health. Choose fun!
