When we think of quitting smoking, we often think of simply the benefits for ourselves. But when you quit smoking, you are helping a whole other group of people: those around you.
What are the health risks of second hand smoke?
- In children, it can cause a variety of breathing issues, including the worsening of asthma.
- Smoking during pregnancy can lead to many fetal issues including death.
- Prolonged exposure can lead to cancer, lung issues, and cardiovascular issues.
There are many more we could name, but these few are scary enough. Think of yourself, but also think of those around you when you are contemplating quitting smoking. Let your altruistic nature shine through and quit not only for yourself, but for other people.
