It’s no secret that excessive alcohol consumption can increase the risk of cancer in the human body. New statistics reported by the World Health Organization “show alcohol is responsible for 5.4 percent of all cancer deaths”. Though a small percentage, it confirms the long-held suspicions that alcohol can increase cancer risks. As discussed in our previous blog post, alcohol is linked with skin cancer. It is also linked to mouth, throat, voice box, esophagus, liver, colon and rectum, and breast cancers. Do yourself a favor: if you’re underage, avoid alcohol altogether and if you are of age, drink alcohol responsible and sparingly.
