Celebrate Without Alcohol

Alcohol is not necessary for a good time. With summer holidays coming up (like the Fourth of July and Labor Day), remember that fun does not equal alcohol. There are so many ways to celebrate holidays and friendship without popping open a beer. When spending time with friends during the summer holidays, be intentional about your time together. Put away the smart phones and dangerous substances. Talk with one another. Listen. Spend time playing sports out doors or going on a hike. Cook great food together! Create delicious alcohol-free summertime drinks. There are probably thousands of reasons to avoid alcohol when celebrating, but one we’ll give you today:

>> Alcohol doesn’t make a situation: better/more fun/more memorable/more exciting. It can make a situation: dangerous/easily forgotten/fatal.

With the fourth of July coming up this Friday, think about that reason and find safe ways to celebrate with your friends and family!
